Greetings, Is there a way to mkfs the new partitions right after using fdisk to create them without rebooting. Usually I have to reboot the machine for the system to see the new partitions but there must be some way to achieve this without rebooting. (At least you don't need to reboot when installatingL RH inux. :-) Thanks, Bruce
